“The heavens tell of the glory of God.
The skies display his marvelous craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known.”
Psalm 19:1–2
• The sky “speaks”? Yes! I read about it in a news article recently (not to mention the message of the verse above). It seems that scientists who had been searching for outer-space signals came across an unexpected discovery: Lightning produces radio waves. The researchers had been picking up strange transmissions that they couldn’t identify—until they finally tied them to the flashes of lightning that interrupted their work around the world. The sky—and all of Creation—does indeed speak, telling a revealing story. What is created proclaims an intelligent Creator of marvelous craftsmanship. And when this Creator Himself descended from the skies, the world received not only of His intelligence, but of His vast love as well. Thanks be to God! The night sky is beautiful—and full of heavenly communication.
