Kindness Springs Forth

“. . . As people sinned more and more,
God’s wonderful kindness became more abundant.”
Romans 5:20
• “Look at this, Gramice!” my grandson blurted as he shoved his drawing in front of my face. My eyes blurred as I tried to focus on it. Abruptly, I pushed it aside; he had interrupted my progress through my busy day. How rude of him! Or was it? God had graciously put a stop sign in my life. I needed to come to a full stop, look both ways, and proceed very cautiously. As I took my grandson on my lap, I apologized for my brusqueness and asked him to tell me about his picture. Several precious moments of closeness ensued. Isn’t it amazing how and where God’s kindness springs forth? God is not the author of sin; it is our free choice. But He can redeem it with His grace, and He does that miracle every day of my life. God’s kindness blossoms even in rocky soil.
