LATTICE CHERRY PIE 4 c. or 2 (1 lb.) cans pie cherries 1 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 c. cornstarch 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. butter 1/2 c. chopped blanched almonds
Blend sugar, cornstarch, salt. Mix with almonds and cherries. Fill pie shell; dot with butter. Make strips for top crust. Bake at 425 degrees for 30 minutes in lower part of oven.
