“Look at the lilies and how they grow. . . .
Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.”
Matthew 6:28–29
• God must really like the five-pointed star shape. Consider the many places it appears in nature. Myriad flowers of every color and size have five-point blossoms. There’s the periwinkle, morning glory, star jasmine, star magnolia, verbena, blue phlox . . . and this only begins the list. Look in the middle of an apple cut cross-ways at the core. A perfect star shape. Examine closely the stem end of a blue- berry—another star. Investigate on your own, and you’ll find many more examples in unexpected places. Looking at the world around us we can easily see God appreciates variety and diversity, too. And what joy that brings to us. We are all created alike, yet different, the Lord of the Universe being the perfect designer. Why do I fret, then, over how I am made—stick-straight hair, bumpy nose, pear-shaped figure? God loves His creation, our human bodies, in all their variety.
