“You made all the delicate,
inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.”
Psalm 139:13
• When I first became a Christian, I thought I’d have to quit doing some things I loved to do, like wearing blue jeans and riding my motorcycle. But since then, I’ve learned that God certainly wants to cut sin out of my life . . . but as for everything else? I think he takes pleasure in my joy. After all, this is how he put me together—to love what I love. As a matter of fact, He has even used my passion for motor- cycling to impact others for Him. When a “chance encounter” reconnected me with my longtime friend Debi, I learned she had a motorcycle. “Can we ride together?” she asked. “Hal and I are riding to church Sunday. Would you like to meet us?” I said. “Yes!” she said. She has since joined a church and is growing in her new faith. God doesn’t want to change who you are; He created you.
