“Now that you have found God (or should I say, now that God has found you),
why do you want to go back again and become slaves once more to the weak and useless spiritual powers of this world?”
Galatians 4:9
• How can these temper tantrums last so long? I was more deter- mined than ever not to give in; on the contrary, I stepped over the purple-faced child without acknowledging his outburst. Everyone in the cereal aisle was watching. “Maybe he will be an opera star when he grows up,” offered one young lady. A mature woman by the corn fakes came back with, “Or possibly a criminal attorney who can sway any jury to his side.” It seemed she had been there, done that with her own kids. Everyone laughed, with my chuckle being the loudest. The guffaws drowned out the scream, causing my son to realize he’d lost our attention. Back to his original shade of white, with chocolate-framed lips, he jerked to his feet, walked over, and hugged my leg. Does the Lord ever choose to ignore us until our tantrums are over?
