“I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until this violent storm is past.”
Psalm 57:1
• “They didn’t pray.” That was my first thought when my car refused to start. I was 300 miles from home in a car with over 200,000 miles on it. Before I left on my trip, I had asked my teen class to pray for me, and up to this point, I was certain they had done so. I’d driven over 1,000 miles with no problem. And now my car wouldn’t start. During the next twelve hours, I realized it had been easy for me to forget God while the trip was “smooth sailing.” When things got rough, however, I had a choice: I could either get angry at God, or I could take refuge under His wings. What would you choose in a situation like that? Are you staying under His wings today?
