He’ll Finish It

“You have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ

from the time you first heard it until now.”

Philippians 1:5

• Because our son-in-law’s job took him to the country of Turkey, we made the long thirteen-hour fight to see our daughter, her husband, and our three beautiful grandsons. We were there primarily to see our family, so we didn’t anticipate the great joy of visiting the ancient ruins in this part of the world. We walked where Paul walked as he was spreading the Gospel, imagining what it was like for him to walk streets now so weathered with time. In his letter to the Philippians, Paul thanks God every time he remembered those believers. He prayed for them with joy because of their partnership in the Gospel. That was a long, long time ago. And still, I am his partner, this very moment. We are partners in Kingdom work, until the King returns.
