He Cares Where You’re . . . Becoming

• With our house on the market, and my husband already working in our new town, I felt more than ready to move. I just needed a buyer for our home. I’d been praying for an interested party, and my husband, Hal, had been praying the Lord would bring a buyer “this month.” Then our realtor called at 9:30 p.m. on August 31. These prospective buyers seemed to answer all our prayers. But . . . their financing fell through and . . . the house still hasn’t sold. Okay, I know in little things and big, God is at work answering our prayers. It never comes the way I think it will; He always surprises me. Is that because the most important thing on His mind isn’t what I’m doing next—but what I’m becoming next? But Lord, I sure would like this house to sell! God is leading us to become like His Son, Jesus!
