It’s All about Attitude

“Your attitude should be the same that Christ Jesus had.

Though he was God, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God.”

Philippians 2:5–6

• It is so much easier to want to be right than to put another’s best interests at the top of our priority list. If we look long enough, we’ll find this at the heart of almost every conflict. No wonder Jesus’ behavior is so incomprehensible to us! He didn’t curse His accusers or open His mouth in His own defense. He didn’t scold his disciples in their time of weakness or demand their loyalty. His decision to choose love left a foot- print on history like no one else’s ever will. If only we could reflect such a selfless attitude. Our church members would live and worship in harmony, our relationships would thrive and go deep, our lives would become beacons of hope in a warring world. Jesus is the perfect role model for the best attitude.
