Me, a Hypocrite?

“Why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?” Matthew 7:3

• When asked why they don’t attend church, many people answer, “Because the church is full of hypocrites.” And yes, they are right. Just as in Jesus’ day, it’s still easier to judge people who don’t follow our rules than it is to admit our own faults and shortcomings. Have I ever been a hypocrite? Yes, I must have acted like a big fat one a time or two, but honestly, I don’t remember. You see, Jesus really knew what he was talking about. People don’t want to see themselves the way others see them. I don’t want to pull that big log out of my own eye. That would hurt a lot, and I just want to forget about it. And that’s why I really need a Savior! Dare to let Jesus give you 20/20 vision today.
