The following is a step by step instruction guide on How To BBQ Pork Chops.
1. The first step is to be selective with the pork chops you are going to purchase. Choose the best pork chops available in the store. It is always good to stick with the tenderest pork chops. You can buy the loin chops of pork as they are very tender. Alternatively, you may also go for T-bone pork s chops if worried about the expenses. The best suited pork chops for bbq are those having approximately 1-inch in thickness.
2. The next thing to do is to remove the additional fat from the pork chops well in advance before barbecuing.
3. Then you need to take a clean bowl and join together all the ingredients of the marinade, including seasonings, olive oil and lemon juice. There is a chance of these materials getting stained if you are using an aluminium or iron bowl. So, itâs always better to avoid such bowls for this purpose.
4. As the marinating mixture is ready, we can now marinate the pork chops. For that, you need to first place the pork chops in a plastic zipper, bowl or a pan. Then you have to gently run down the marinade all over the meat till it is covered fully. Plastic bag can also be used for this purpose and in such cases you must ensure that it doesnât have any leaks. Now, refrigerate the pork chops for around 30-60 minutes.
5. Once the chops are chilled, take them out of the fridge and separate the chops from the marinade solution. After removing the excess liquid from their surface, place them on a neat platter. Keep them undisturbed for about 30 minutes.
6. You can utilize this time to preheat the barbecue.
7. Now, take the chops out of the platter and place them on the highest heat receiving part of the grill. You need to cook your pork chops for approximately 6 minutes. Also, donât forget to turn them after 3 minutes.
8. You should replace the chops to a comparatively lesser temperature area of the grill and heat them for another 6-8 mins. The juices will turn clear instead of pink once the pork chops are done. A food thermometer can be used for check the temperature of the meat.
9. You are almost done and the final step is to allow them to cool for about five to ten minutes. You may serve them with salt and pepper after a small seasoning process. (Image Courtesy: Sravenne)
