“My gracious favor is all you need. My power works best in your weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9
• “I can’t do this! I cannot do this!” The words rang in my mind loudly, blocking out anything else. My hands visibly shook as I picked up my notes, rehearsing again what I would say for my presentation at work that morning. But in the midst of my terror, I couldn’t deny that God created me as I am. God gave me this job, knowing this moment would come. I stepped forward in my weakness . . . and God met me there! He was there with my shaking hands, my pounding heart, and my trembling voice. Afterward, my coworkers were shocked to hear I’d been nervous at all. It made me think: Suppose I had tried to deny my weakness? Would that have denied me God’s power as well? Even the most paralyzing fear can’t overpower His mercy and His strength.
