Are you planning a seafood night? If so, then it would be an ideal time to try out these deep fried beer battered fish nuggets served with a garlic, parsley and mayonnaise dip... These hake nuggets are seriously delicious.
Ingredients for Fish Batter:
1 Cup Cake Flour 4 Teaspoons Paprika 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder 2 Teaspoons Salt 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper 1 Teaspoon Medium Curry Powder 1/2 Cup Milk 1/2 Beer (any beer) or 1/2 cup of water
Method:
1. Cut the fish into chunks.
2. Mix all the ingredients together and add the liquid slowly to insure the batter is not too runny. Reduce liquid quantity if needed.
3. Dip the fish in the batter and place the fish in a medium-high heat deep fryer using 1L B-well canola oil.
4. Leave the fish until golden brown and remove from oil to strain.
Garlic and parsley mayo dip:
We served the beer battered fish nuggets with a home made garlic and parsley mayo dip. Which simply consisted of 1/2 a cup B-well original tangy mayonnaise, 1/3 a cup of cream, 1 clove finely chopped garlic, a handful of finely chopped parsley and the juice of half a lemon
