Cornflake biscuits

125g soft butter 125ml soft Brown sugar 2 beaten eggs 4x250ml corn flakes 2.5ml salt 10ml oil 375ml self-raising flour 2.5ml vanilla essence 6 chopped dates 10 quartered walnuts

Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs, the remaining ingredients working together by hand. Roll out dough not too thinly. Cut out shapes with a cookie cutter and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 180°C on bottom shelf of oven for 7 minutes then on middle shelf for 10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
