PUMPKIN BARS, American - 1978

Ingredients
4 eggs 1 cup salad oil 2 cups sugar 1 can 15 ounces pumpkin 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon soda ½ teaspoon soda ½ teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons cinnamon ½ teaspoon ginger ½ cloves ½ teaspoon nutmeg
Preparation Instructions
Blend eggs, oil, sugar and pumpkin together in a large mixing bowl. Measure flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and nutmeg into 1 quart measure. Mix together lightly with a fork. Stir into pumpkin mixture.
Divide batter equally into two (8x8-inch) glass baking dishes. One at a time, MICROWAVE 4 MINUTES, 30 SECONDS to 6 MINUTES on HIGH, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand until thoroughly cooled. Yield: 36 bars, Two 8x8-inch glass baking dishes
